Terms of service
The agreement between you and Siro Robotics Ltd when you use daidocs.com or the Kerneta API. Short, and written so that reading it is not a punishment.
Last updated 18 August 2026
1 · Who we are
daidocs.com and Kerneta are trading names of Siro Robotics Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 10631734, registered office 124 City Road, London, England, EC1V 2NX. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean that company, and "you" means the person or organisation using the service.
2 · Agreeing to these terms
By creating an account, calling the API or otherwise using the hosted service, you accept these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it. If you do not accept them, do not create an account: the engine is open source under Apache 2.0 and you may self host without agreeing to anything here.
3 · What the service is
We convert chat histories and documents into .dai files, an open format, and provide retrieval over them. The hosted service comprises the web console, the conversion and recall API, and the account and billing around them.
The .dai format itself and the reference engine are separate from this agreement. They are licensed under Apache 2.0 and governed by the software licence. Nothing here restricts your rights under that licence.
4 · Current availability
Part of the service is live and part of it is not. Accounts, sessions and API keys work today. You can sign up, sign in and issue a key. Conversion does not yet. The endpoints behind converting a history into .dai files are still being built, so a free conversion is something the account entitles you to rather than something you can spend right now.
Paid plans are not on sale while that is true. The plan endpoint refuses anything with a price, so nobody can be charged for a conversion service that does not yet convert. Until we announce general availability, treat what is live as a preview: provided as is, capable of changing without notice, and not something to build a production dependency on.
5 · Your account
You are responsible for keeping your password and API keys secret, and for everything done through your account. Tell us promptly at security@kerneta.com if you think either has been compromised, and we will revoke and reissue.
Give us accurate details, keep them current, and do not share one account between people who should have their own. You must be at least 16 years old.
6 · Acceptable use
Do not use the service to:
- Break the law, or infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights.
- Process material you have no right to process, including other people's personal data without a lawful basis.
- Attack the service or its users, including attempts to breach security, evade rate limits, or degrade availability for others.
- Resell the hosted service as your own without a written agreement with us. Self hosting the open source engine is expressly fine.
- Reverse engineer the hosted service to build a competing product, to the extent the law allows us to say so.
We may suspend an account that is doing any of these, and we will tell you why.
7 · Your content
Your content stays yours. Uploading a history to be converted grants us a licence to process it for one purpose only, namely performing the conversion and retrieval you asked for, and that licence ends when you delete the content.
We do not use your content to train models, ours or anybody else's. We do not read it except where you ask us to help with a specific problem, or where the law compels us.
You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload. If your material contains other people's personal data, you are the controller of it and we act as your processor, as set out in the privacy notice.
8 · Model providers
Conversion needs a language model. You supply your own Anthropic, OpenAI or Google key, or convert on your Claude subscription inside the session. That key is held in your browser tab, forwarded per request and never stored by us.
When your content is sent to a model provider, their terms and their privacy policy apply to that processing, and their charges are between you and them. We are not responsible for their availability, their pricing, or their output. If that arrangement does not suit you, self host the engine with your own key or your own subscription, and nothing reaches us.
9 · Plans and payment
Free conversions are free, with no card required, and stop when they are used up rather than rolling into a charge. Paid plans, when they launch, are billed in advance through a payment processor that handles card details directly.
If you are a consumer in the UK or EU, you have 14 days from purchase to cancel for a refund. Where you asked us to start immediately and we did, we may deduct a proportionate amount for what you used. This right sits alongside your statutory rights and does not replace them.
Prepaid credit is non-refundable once it has been loaded to your balance. If you think you have a reason for a refund, email us and we will review it case by case.
We may change prices, and we will give at least 30 days' notice before a change affects an existing subscription. If you do not accept it, cancel before it takes effect and we will refund the unused part of the term.
10 · Availability
We work to keep the service up and we do not offer a service level agreement. Maintenance, third party failures and the ordinary hazards of running software all happen. Where we plan downtime we will announce it in advance where we reasonably can.
11 · Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.
Subject to that, we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, loss of goodwill or indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability arising out of this agreement in any 12 month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in that period and one hundred pounds.
You are responsible for keeping your own copies of anything you care about. The product is designed around that principle: your .dai files are plain text on your own machine precisely so that we are not a single point of failure for your memory.
12 · Ending it
You may close your account at any time, and we will delete your data on the timetable in the privacy notice. We may suspend or close an account for a serious or repeated breach of section 6, or if we stop providing the service, and in the latter case we will give reasonable notice and refund the unused part of any prepaid term.
Your .dai files are yours and portable by design. Ending this agreement does not take them away from you.
13 · Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your own courts.
Talk to us first: hello@kerneta.com. Most things are resolved faster that way than through a court.
14 · Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change, and for material changes affecting existing account holders we will give notice by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that is acceptance; if you would rather not, close the account and we will refund anything prepaid and unused.
